Make This Year (and every one that follows) Properous

Happy New Year!

With the birth of a new year dreams of a more prosperous and more successful version of yourself are also born. Many of us believe that these dreams will become a reality if we make a resolution, if we paste a picture on a board and call it a vision, or create a list of what we want and need to do. When the map with exact GPS coordinates to success has been sitting in our laps, on our nightstands, and in our purses.

As Christians success is guaranteed. You may doubt this because you've faced a number of setbacks over the years that you might not count as a success, however all things work for our good so while it may have been a physical failure it was a set up for spiritual prosperity. Of course, what you really want is a form of prosperity that you can taste, a form of prosperity that you can touch, a form of prosperity that you can share with others. Our success is not based on a man-made formula it is in our obedience to God. In Joshua the Lord gives Joshua clear directions on how to attain that type of prosperity,

"Only be thou strong and very courageous. that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee, turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersover thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

According to the word of Lord our success and prosperity lies in our obedience to him, "...that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee, turn not from it to the right hand or the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersover thou goest." Don't be fooled--because God is merciful it does not mean that he is not expecting you to live holy. Holy living is the foundation of your worldwide prosperity.

Devote time in both in the morning and in the evening to meditating on God's word. The more he is infused into your life and into your thoughts the easier it will be to obey the word of God, "but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.". Once we begin to adhere to God's word then we will hear from God and we will receive prosperity and good success from God and that kind of blessing is eternal and trancends days, weeks, months, and many new years to come.

Peace and blessings to you for years to come,
Nigeria
